- Family-based immigration. US citizens or green card holders can file petitions for their relatives. There are two main categories for family-based immigration, and the process involves filing a petition, paying fees, and submitting the required documentation.
- Green Card Lottery (Diversity Visa Program). Every year, 55,000 visas are awarded through the Green Card Lottery. Anyone who meets certain educational or professional qualifications can participate. The process includes online registration, payment of fees, completion of the DS-260 application and an interview.
